                FROM VIEWER'S VIEWS - MANAGEMENT & PRODUCTIVITY
I am looking forward to your earliest reply to the same email address, as a we are  working on a
research project on effective management tools for government sectors in developing countries

  Dr.Malvyn Copen

Here I provide the exhaustive details on how every aspect of Socio-Economic Development,
Management Input / Output factors could be quantified, in order to assist
  your research project
-  DR.VSRS
You talk of productivity by Socioeconomic goals. What it has to do with me ?    Angello Bocelli
Unless every industry think and do something about this, the nation cannot survive,  continue and
  progress -

               SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACCELERATION

I analysed this(Housing) loan scheme and found out that it is not actually giving either the
 uplifting
or the comfortable living -
Peter Kemoli
It has induced an indirect advantage of domestic saving potential for the medium class person,
by drastically reducing the monthly deductions and increasing the monthly disposable income -

DR.VSRS
How it will help a person like me  by your writing a mathematical paper like this in the
  internet  ???
Kanthimathi
This is what I say in the Internet as local resources and local man-power has to be used  to
support the local social and economic development. Government alone cannot do it -

DR.VSRS
After a careful analysis of your research findings, I have come to a firm conclusion that these
concepts are important for the progress of government sub divisions like the States, Districts
  and Villages
Arun.S. Patel
I am happy to find that an ingenious person like you in a responsible government assignment
could find   an application of my concepts to the Micro State, District and Village level. You
have really broadened  their scope and their utility -

THEME JOKE - CONCEPTS & AWARDS
           DRESSING DERIVATIONS & AMBIVALENT AWARDS
                                     UNIVERSAL CONCEPT DERIVATIONS
Concepts, Rules and Theories are always relative. What is correct now may become wrong later and vice versa. The best example is the early belief that the Sun revolving around the earth, as evidently seen by everybody on every day. It became exactly the reverse, till the Greek astronomer Aristarchus of Samos (310-230 BC) proposed the Heliocentric Concept to put forward the idea that the Sun was actually in the center of the universe, which was considered far too radical. Unfortunately, history tends to forget that he came to this conclusion about 1,750 years before the Polish astronomer Copernicus (1473-1543 AD), who confirmed that Sun is in the centre of the Solar system and the earth is going around it. This was an accepted and practical concept for the later astronomers and space scientists to depend upon!!. While the ancient belief that Moon is going around the Earth, still remains as a Stagnant Concept for over many millennium, because it is a Factual Concept. Hence, Concept derivations dress themselves relative to time.
 DERIVED CONCEPTS ARE RELATIVE
ZIG-ZAG LINKIn a small school,  a  teacher gave a home work in
geometry lesson, for the children  to draw the shortest distance line between the two points A and B on the note book.  The expected answer is a straight line connecting A and B. But one student came out with a zig-zag line.  The teacher asked him, who helped him to do this. The boy replied my father and he is a taxi driver !! The answer is also relatively correct. In Manhattan borough at Newyork city, if you have to go from Edison hotel (Point – A) in 228 West 47th Street (between 8th Avenue and Broad way street)  to Empire State Building (Point – B) in 5th Avenue (between West 33rd and 34th streets), the shortest connecting point may look this. It is because of the street layouts, one way restrictions and other on-the-road hurdles.  The answer of the taxi driver may be not only true but could be optimum also !! Linking A and B by a straight line could be true only for "as a crow flies". Hence, the correctness of Concepts dress relative  to the application View point.
 MATHEMATICALLY DERIVED CONCEPTS
In a Management  interview, a MBA candidate was asked to show the organisational progress implications under the combination of "Dumb" and "Smart"
abilities between a "Boss" and "Employee". The candidate wrote :-

Smart Boss + Smart Employee = Profit
Smart Boss + Dumb Employee = Production
Dumb Boss + Smart Employee = Promotion
Dumb Boss + Dumb Employee = Loss
In similar lines, the Geometrical concepts on Socio-Economic development  of the Author are :-
Domestic Technology + Domestic Labour = Domestic Progress
Foreign    Technology + Domestic Labour = Limited    Progress

Domestic Technology + Foreign    Labour = Drained   Progress
Foreign    Technology + Foreign    Labour = Exported Progress

      =====================
========================

Domestic Savings for Domestic Investment = National Development
      Foreign    Sources for
Domestic Investment = National Debt

Domestic Savings for
Foreign    Investment = National stagnancy
Hence, the Concept themes could be simplified in a Mathematical dress.
 SYMBOLIC  CONCEPTS
BEAUTIFUL NILGIRI HILLS

Demonstration of a concept could be symbolic. There is an ancient tribe called "Kotas" in the Western Nilgiri range of mountain forests in the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka border (India). They were skilled potters, ironsmiths and carpenters with artistic abilities. Even though the community lacked formal education and  work methodologies, they are very smart and intelligent through symbolic expressions. In 1992, CPR Environmental Education Centre (See below in Kota Tribal of Nilgiris) made efforts to upgrade and rehabilitate them. Kota youths were called for an indoctrination interview. They were asked certain questions in counting, and the following happened :-

Q1. What is the highest number in a single digit ?
The Kota man assembled the following pictures.
     TREE
TREE     TREE  He said Tree, Tree, Tree (3+3+3=9)
Q2.
What is the highest number in 2 digits ?

He assembled the following pictures.
 DIRTY TREE
DIRTY TREE DIRTY TREE He said Dirty-Tree, Dirty-Tree, Dirty- Tree
       (33+33+33=99)
Q3. CAN YOU SHOW 100 ?
 He modified the picture.

DIRTY TREE DIRTY TREE DIRTY TREE DOG DOING 1 Tree Dirty Tree + Dog doing 1.

Since the Concepts dressed in symbol opens the understanding of many,   the Algebraic concepts on Productivity and Management Decisions  of the Author are :-

MANAGEMENT DECISION  ? SOCIAL +
INTANGIBLES
?PROGRESS
PRODUCTIVITY ?

Then the Kota tribe man opened a Cloth parcel and pulled out a bundle wrapped in green Banana leaf.  He offered it to the interviewer. The interviewer asked him " What is it ?", and he said "Kondai Kose Ootta". Myself, my 128 years old father,  and my 108 years old mother eat it regularly !!! (See Recipe below)

KOTA TRIBAL MALE DANCE KOTA - TRIBALS OF NILGIRIS, INDIA
John Sullivan, Collector of Coimbatore, India, during the British rule is credited with the discovery of the Nilgiris, specifically Ooty, in1819. But people have lived here since aeons (immeasurably long time), and human remains in the Nilgiris have been dated to 10,000 B.C. Neolithic sarcophagi (stone age coffin), and the Eluthu Paarai rock (Rock scripts) paintings were of 3000 B.C. The mysterious Edakkal (Weighing stone) Cave inscriptions are among the earliest archeological remains found in South India. The descendants of those people are the colourful Toda, Kota, Kurumba, Irula and Paniya tribes and their subsidiaries, and the more agricultural Badagas. The Nilgiris are an excellent study of inter-tribal relationships. The Todas bred buffaloes that supplied the milk, the Kotas were potters, ironsmiths and carpenters, Kurumbas were the magico-religious sorcerers, Irulas were herbal doctors and the Paniyas were slaves and bonded labourers. The Badagas were related to the Lingayats of Karnataka and brought the science of agriculture to the hills. Each tribe performed its exclusive role in the barter economy, besides eschewing inter-tribal marriages and even communal feasting. Many scholars have speculated that this was how the Indian caste system could have developed. They speak in Tamil and Kannada language mixture.

                                                     CPR FOUNDATION
Dr. Sir. C.P. Ramaswami Aiyyar (CPR. 1879-1966) was a great statesman of India.
He was a descendant of the eminent Nilakanta Dikshadhar of  Palamadai, (on the banks of River Thamira Varni in Tirunelveli District, Tamil nadu), who was the Minister to Madurai King Thirumalai Nayakar (1623-1659).  CPR  was the Dewan of the Princely state of Travancore (now Kerala), from 1936 to 1947, when  the ruler was  Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma (1931–1949). CPR was responsible for industrial and agricultural growth in Tamilnadu and Travancore, including the Mettur, Pykara, Lower Bhavani, Periyar and Pallivasal hydroelectric projects. He was also responsible for the Temple Entry Proclamation of Travancore, opening temples to all Hindus, irrespective of caste, for the first time in India. After Independence, he was Chairman of several government commissions and Vice Chancellor of Annamalai and Banaras Universities. He has left behind a wealth of ideas, writings and speeches on philosophy and education, which are the inspiration for the Foundation. CPR Foundation introduced environmental education in 1981. This blossomed into the CPR. Environmental Education Centre, established in 1989 jointly by the C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation and the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, a Centre of Excellence of the Ministry and the Regional Resource Centre and Nodal Agency for the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s scheme of Environmental Orientation to School Education. Tribal life in the Nilgiris has been affected by external influences.  Initially, it was the colonial western culture. Later, in the post independent period, India’s developmental programmes have excluded tribal arts and crafts. In order to preserve the art forms of the tribals, the Foundation felt that it is necessary to ensure the continuity of their art. Hence the foundation has been training Kota and Kurumba, Paniya and Irula youth to revive their traditional arts of pottery making, vegetable dye painting and bamboo craft. The Foundation has trained several Kota women in pottery and Kurumba youth in painting. Their creative endeavour has been channelised during the training to bring out viable product, to fetch a commercial return.

ACCREDITATION & AWARDSAWARDS FOR AMBIGUOUS CONCEPTS
Ambiguous Concepts could get even a handsome award. A Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), a lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars and  insured them against “fire” among other things. Within a month having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment for the policy, the lawyer filed claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued...and won! In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The Judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without conceptually defining what is considered to be unacceptable fire, and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."
Awards are Ambivalent (Equivocal). Even Two or more contradictory concepts can share a common award !!

MORAL : Science and Technology enunciate the Universal Concepts. Even they are subject to change depending on the facts finding, as time and knowledge progress. True or False status of any Concept is relative to the application and utility. Even simple mathematics can derive certain valuable and practical concepts. Derivative ability of the Concepts of utility for life is implanted inside all brains from stone age. It is independent of education and formal training. More the knowledge, human being en-cash and enjoy even using ambiguous Concepts.

BROCCOLI/KONDAI KOSE  THEME RECIPE - CONCEPTS & AWARDS

             KONDAI KOSE OOTTA
                     Broccoli Meal
A Health food for Intuitive Knowlede and Longevity

Some vegetable scholars recognise broccoli in the cookbook of .Apicius [A name applied to three celebrated Roman Epicures (good food & drinks), the first of whom lived during 512 to 4 BC the second  Marcus Gavius (or Gabius) Apicius—the most famous in his own time lived under the early Empire; the third  probably no relation (late 4th or early 5th century BC), author of the one surviving Roman Cookbook.  The word "broccoli" means "little sprouts" in Italian and broccoli is in the same family (Brassica) as Kale, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts and others. Originally the Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli is thought to have been introduced into Western vegetable gardens by Italian immigrants in the 1880's. Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli was later introduced to the seed trade between 1914-1918 and has remained very popular with gardeners ever since !
Broccoli was certainly an Italian vegetable, as its name suggests, long before it was eaten elsewhere. The first mention in France is in 1560. But in 1724 broccoli was still so unfamiliar in England that the famous Botanist of Scottish descent Philip Miller's (1691- 1771) in his Gardener's Dictionary (1724 edition) referred to it as a stranger in England and explained it as "sprout colli-flower" or "Italian asparagus". In the American colonies, Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826) was the third President of the United States (1801–1809), the author of the United States Declaration of Independence (1776), and one of the most influential Founders of the United States, was also an experimenting gardener. From his  wide circle of European correspondents,  he got packets of seeds for rare vegetables. He  planted  broccoli at Monticello, his estate, located near Charlottesville, Virginia,   along with radishes, lettuce, and cauliflower in 1767. However, broccoli remained  exotic (strange) in American gardens. In 1775, John Randolph (1773-1833. Senator from Virginia. Elected to the Sixth and to the six succeeding Congresses of USA, 1799-1813), in A Treatise on Gardening by a Citizen of Virginia, explained about broccoli: as "The stems are like Asparagus (Asparagus officinales) and the heads like Cauliflower". (Brassica oleracea botrytis)

John Sullivan, Collector of Coimbatore, India, during the British rule is credited with the discovery of the Nilgiris, specifically Ooty, in1819. Since most verities of broccoli need cool temperature with moist air, he introduced Broccoli,  along with other European vegetables in the Botanical estates of Ooty and the forests around during  1827. The hill tribes found it tasty as well as it added physical energy to their day to day work-life in the forests. Since it has a tuft on the head (Kondai in Tamil) and soft stem (Kose in tribal language), they named it as "Kondai Kose". They prepare a meal (Ootta in Kannada) with Rice and Broccoli,  and call it as "Kondai Kose Ootta".

MORAL : Whether a Tribal or Cultured, human tastes are the same.  Selected  ingredients in a tasty food inducts intuition, promotes health and harmony. Body  feeds the brain to survive and continue its function, through the digestive system. Brain activates the Body components to function Productively or Destructively. Thus the Concept of Peace or Jeopardy in the world is directly linked to the Thinking  faculty of the Brain, and indirectly linked to the Food, which chemically orients the Brain's directives for Body function.
